Sallie Jiko Tisdale has been practicing since 1983. Her teacher was Kyogen Carlson in the Dharma Cloud lineage, out of the Jiyu Kennett lineage of Shasta Abbey. She received lay transmission from him in 1997, and empowerment in 2009. Sallie is the senior Lay Dharma Teacher at Dharma Rain Zen Center. She is the author of several books, including Women of the Way and Advice for Future Corpses.
