BIO: Partway through a lifetime of being a professional violinist, violist, baroque violinist, and violin teacher, my questions led me to Zen. Practice began in the early 90s. In 2004, I became a student of Stef and Margaret Barragato of Treetop Zen Center, taking Jukai in 2006. Later, I continued my studies with Shindō Jim Nowik and served as Shuso in 2022. Shindō gave me dharma transmission, Denbo, in 2026 as a Lay Teacher.
A few years ago, I spent several years offering meditation sessions twice a week at a local recovery residence. I’m currently teaching at Treetop Zen Center and co-leading two meditation groups at Colby College with Shindō.
