Leslie James has been practicing at San Francisco Zen Center since 1971, most of that time at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center. She received Lay Dharma Transmission from Tenshin Reb Anderson in 2001. She is married and has two grown daughters. She currently lives with her husband at Tassajara and is the Abiding Teacher there.
