Flint Sparks is a Zen priest and former psychotherapist. He was the founder of the Austin Zen Center and was ordained in the Suzuki Roshi lineage of San Francisco Zen Center by Zenkei Blanche Hartman in 2001 and was given Lay Entrustment in 2007 by Zenkei Roshi. Along with Peg Syverson he helped develop Appamada, a center for Zen Practice and Inquiry in Austin, Texas. In 2022 he received Dharma Transmission from Peg Syverson. He now resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
